Simply Gorgeous Lingerie, Sunninghill Village

When you are well-endowed and can't find bras that feel right - this is the  place to go!  Wonderful service which included measuring and then being presented with a gorgeous bra which fits like a dream.  I bought two and have enjoyed the pleasure ever since!

Restaurant Reviews by Judith Back to top

**** Kong Tai Chinese Restaurant, The Wedge Morningside

Been there for a long time and we have bought other things from them but not gone to the restaurant.  So in search of something new, we went there.  Service was good, delivery was unusual.  The starter was cancelled when we received the main course first.  However the calamari and vegetable stir-fry was great and the chicken and coconut was also good.  The tea and the wine were excellent.

We would go again.  They are expanding into bigger premises to include Minamoto, the Japanese restaurant, as well.

***** The Maharaja, Sloane Square off William Nicol

We went there on a cold evening wanting warm curry!  The great thing was that we were seated overlooking the wonderful view across to the Magaliesburg!  Unfortunately, they no longer do rice flour poppadums, which was a disappointment.  We ordered a Kali dhal and a vegetable briyani, plus Lassi and wine.  The lassi and wine were spot on as was the mild Kali Dhal.  The vegetable biriyani was not as it consisted of frozen vegetables not fresh.

It was replaced with a hot Kali Dhali - which was great.  All in all a relaxing evening and good food - just don't order vegetable Biryani!

Getting Help

The family decided to go to the psychiatrist:

"Doctor, we are asking you to see Julius: For the last year he has been thinking he's a chicken."

"You've done the right thing coming to me, but why did you wait so long?"

"Yes Doctor, we're sorry.  The truth is, we needed the eggs."

At the Checkout:  Back to top

Annalie goes to the butchery counter and asks for a chicken: They are just about out of stock.  The butcher finds his last, a really scrawny bird, and puts it on the scale: "One kilogram".  "That's too small", says Annalie, "do you have anything bigger?"  The butcher takes the bird off the scale, pretends to hunt around a bit, then puts the same one back and covertly presses down on the scale: "One-and-a-half kilograms: How about that?"

"Still a bit small", says Annalie, "I tell you what: I'll take both of them".
