Then there are the Transnet Ports. They are unable to handle the volume of traffic because of lack of maintenance of their cranes.  Perhaps the price hikes in shops due to the standing time, levies, and trucking instead of rail, don’t concern you.

And crime?  Your private security company can’t protect you all the time.  A Rand Water executive was assassinated yesterday at a public event.

This is what a dysfunctional state looks like.

This is the path to a failed state, the likes of Libya and Sudan.

This is what happens when citizens don’t vote.

Or when they blindly support a party that has failed them.

A change in government is essential. This is why it is vitally important for you to vote in the next election.

If you aren’t registered, your last public opportunity to register is this weekend, 3-4 February.

Here is a Simple, Free Tool That Simplifies Everything

Our friend and mentor, Peter Carruthers, writes:

If you're working on a complex project, with lots of moving parts, lots of information, there is a simple, free way to keep track.

The term for this is Mind Mapping. (Putting onto paper what's floating randomly in your head.) It is the way I plan everything, design courses, read text books, and deal with anything difficult.

This saved my bacon when I first began using the technique in 1974 -on paper- to pass Matric after four years of missing classes.

The free tool I used for years is called FreePlane, and it is awfully powerful. Nowadays, there are hundreds of tools. FreePlane is great to start learning, before spending money.
